Rabbi Steven Weil

Rabbi Steven Weil became Beth Jacob's Rabbi in 2000. Rabbi Weil, the son of a German cattle dealer, was raised on a cattle farm outside of Buffalo, NY . He attended Yeshiva University, concurrently completing his ordination at the Rabbi Isaac Elchanan Theological Seminary (REITS) and a Master’s in Business Administration from NYU’s Stern School of Business.

Rabbi Weil began his career teaching, and then moved to pulpit work. Prior to joining Beth Jacob as head Rabbi, he served for six years as Rabbi of Young Israel of Oak Park, Michigan, in suburban Detroit. A man of great personal charm, Rabbi Weil gained a reputation as a gifted orator, weaving inspirational messages of contemporary relevance into his teaching of traditional texts.
