Memorial Plaques

It is a widely observed Jewish tradition to commemorate the passing of a relative or loved one on the walls within a Shul. Jewish tradition sees memory as a sacred act, allowing us to be inspired by the good in a loved one’s life and live more fully in our own days.  A yahrzeit plaque allows for a permanent remembrance of a loved one, ensuring that his or her name will be recalled in perpetuity.

At Beth Jacob, our plaques are housed in our main sanctuary, Shapell Sanctuary. Each plaque will have the person’s name in English, Hebrew, and both the Hebrew and English date of death. Beside each plaque is a memorial light, which is lit annually on the Yahrzeit and Yizkor services.

Each Plaque is $1000.00 and may be ordered using the form below or by calling Benny Adler (310) 278-1911 ext. 213.
