Chesed Fund
Through our Chesed Fund, we provide crucial financial support to needy individuals, families, and organizations here in Los Angeles, in Israel and elsewhere. Our capacity to provide this support is based on the kindness and generosity of community members who are inspired to contribute to the Fund throughout the year.
We can be proud that this past year of 5783, we have supported countless families and individuals in need through our partnership with the following organizations:
- Yad Eliezer- through their widows and orphans fund ($3,000)
- Afikim- provided enrichment activities, therapeutic workshops and programming for 3 children ($3,000)
- Global Jewish Assistance- sponsored 25 food cards of $90 each for Israeli families ($2,250)
- Friendship Circle of LA- provided camp scholarships ($1,800)
- Tomchei Shabbos of LA ($2,000), covering basic necessities such as clothing, food, rent, and bills for those in need locally
- Global Kindness ($2,000)
- Kiryat Shemona’s Adopt a Soldier program ($3,600); delivering care packages to 60 tzahal officers
The Chesed Fund is administered by Rabbi Topp, together with Jack Fenigstein, Chairman of the Board; Jess Dolgin, VP for Charitable Giving, and the Chesed Fund Committee.
