Ambulance Donation

In response to Israel's Operation Protective Edge, and amid our grief over the kidnapping and murders of Naftali Fraenkel, Gilad Shaer and Eyal Yifrach z"l, Hy"d,  the Beth Jacob leadership consulted with American Friends of Magen David Adom, and decided to raise the funds necessary to sponsor a new advanced ambulance in Israel.  Our community responded expediently, and within two weeks, we had raised $100,000 for this life-saving project. We have dedicated the ambulance to the memory of our three boys, Naftali, Gilad, and Eyal z"l, Hy"d.  We express our profound appreciation to all who participated.

Beth Jacob donated a Life Support Ambulance to Magen David Adom (MDA) in June 2015. To date, this ambulance has made an immense impact, responding to nearly 7,200 emergency calls in Sderot and surrounding areas. We are proud that this gift to Israel is saving lives every day, while carrying the Shul’s name as well as serving as a very meaningful tribute to the boys we lost in 2014, may their memories be a blessing.

In addition, in 2022 our members Joshua and Susan Pretsky generously donated an Ambulance to MADA.
